Amy's Woodcarvings

First Bird

Carved from mahogany in April/May 1991.

Actual size 3.25 inches beak-to-tail and wingtip to wingtip.

This was my first attempt at woodcarving ---
I used a single-edged razor blade!
Now my tool of choice is an Exacto-knife and LOTS of blades.

This has no base and hangs by a string
looped around its neck and tailbase.
