I have always dreamed of being a princess or a queen,
Ever since I was so small,
Ever since I grew so tall.
It has been my one and only dream.

A dream of fantasy,
A dream of hopefulness,
A dream that I could never wish would ever quite come true.

The queens of France and England,
Of old Switzerland and Sweden,
Are sometimes luckier than you or me.

An ordinary person
Never hopes of being royal,
But my small dream is just make-believe.
